Terms of Beta Use
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Beta warning: BootTask has already undergone extensive testing, but it remains beta software and may still contain errors. Data could be lost, altered, or unavailable, so do not use it as the sole record of important tasks, deadlines, or information.
1. Acceptance and beta status
By installing, accessing, or using BootTask during its beta period, you accept these Terms of Beta Use. BootTask is provided for evaluation and feedback. Features may change, be suspended, or be removed at any time.
2. Your data and backups
You are responsible for maintaining independent copies of your information. Task data, notes, settings, session state, and sync data can be affected by bugs, updates, browser or device changes, storage resets, or third-party service issues. Optional Google Drive sync is not a guaranteed backup service.
3. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BootTask is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that the beta will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that data will be preserved.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BootTask and its developer will not be liable for any loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the beta.
5. Feedback
If you provide feedback, you allow BootTask to use it without restriction or compensation to improve the product. Please do not send passwords, full license keys, or other sensitive information in feedback or support requests.
6. Privacy
Your use of BootTask is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how the extension stores and uses data.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the beta evolves. Continued use of BootTask after an update means that you accept the revised terms.
