Sync to your own Google Drive

Optional backup and multi-device sync through a Google Sheet you own, in your Drive.

There is no BootTask server holding your tasks. If you want them on more than one machine, BootTask creates a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive and keeps it in step: tasks, folders, projects, settings and history, with snapshots you can restore from.

How it works

  • Connect with your Google account; BootTask creates a sheet named Boottask_Mobile_Sync in your Drive.
  • The service worker syncs in the background and is the single writer, so a manual backup can never interleave with an automatic one.
  • Back up and restore on demand, and list past snapshots to roll back to one.
  • Reconciliation merges local and remote by id against the last agreed state, rather than letting the newest device flatten the other.
  • Retries back off progressively, and sync failures are reported instead of hidden.
  • Sign out at any time; the sheet stays in your Drive, and it is yours to keep or delete.
