No BootTask cloud

Tasks live on your device. Page content never leaves it. There is no account to create.

Your devicetasks · verdictsYour Driveif you askBootTaskno serverYOUR DATANo BootTask server holds your tasks.

BootTask has no backend that stores your work. Tasks, sessions and settings sit in your browser's own storage; if you want them elsewhere, they go to your Google Drive, not ours. The page-relevance model runs on your machine, and the pages you visit are never uploaded anywhere.

How it works

  • Tasks, folders, projects, session and settings are stored locally in the browser.
  • License state is mirrored through Chrome's own sync storage, with a local fallback.
  • The on-device relevance check reads a page summary, judges it locally, and caches the verdict locally.
  • Nothing is read in private browsing, or on any page containing a password field.
  • Chrome history access is an optional permission, requested only for site suggestions, and used entirely on-device.
  • The Mac app keeps its own files under your Library folder and talks to the extension over Chrome's Native Messaging — never over the network.
