A folder is a fold in the list, nothing more. It groups plain tasks under a title you can collapse, so a forty-line day reads as five areas. Folders carry no goal, no shared instructions and no progress of their own — that is what projects are for.
How it works
- Create a folder from the Tasks tab and drop plain tasks into it.
- Collapse a folder to hide its rows; the collapsed state is remembered per folder.
- Rename a folder in place, and move whole folders up and down to reshape the day.
- Order inside a folder follows the same global position as the flat list, so dragging behaves identically.
- Delete a folder and its tasks return to the flat list. Nothing is ever deleted with the container.
- The task picker opened from the Focus Bar shows plain tasks grouped by folder; project tasks stay in the Projects tab.
